Suspect in custody in Trempealeau County murder investigation

TREMPEALEAU COUNTY, Wis. (WEAU) – A suspect is in custody in connection with the investigation of a homicide in Trempealeau County, according to the latest information from the Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Office.

The person in question was arrested and is in custody on other charges, the sheriff’s office said.

A press release said the death was believed to be an isolated incident. It occurred on May 15 at around 8:30 p.m. near Highway 53 and County Road TT in the village of Ettrick, Wisconsin.

The Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for help in gathering video and information that may pertain to a suspicious death in Trempealeau County. The Sheriff’s Office does not believe there is any danger to the public at this time.

The Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for help in obtaining surveillance and dashboard camera video from May 15 between 7 and 9 p.m. in the area between Galesville and Blair, Wisconsin.

The investigation is still ongoing.
