Man arrested for string of vehicle thefts in Michigan, Ohio

NOVI, Mich. – A 25-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a series of vehicle thefts in Michigan and Ohio.

According to authorities, James Edward White was taken into custody after a lengthy investigation into multiple vehicle thefts in Oakland County and 11 other jurisdictions in Michigan and Ohio. He was charged with seven counts of unlawfully driving away an automobile, one count of theft between $1,000.00 and $20,000 and another count of operating a continuing criminal enterprise.

He remains in custody at the Oakland County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
