Man killed in crash on Natchez Trace in Leake County

LEAKE COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – A vehicle and motorcycle crash on the Natchez Trace Parkway in Leake County left one person dead.

Breezy News reported that the crash occurred on Sunday, May 5, just before 2:45 p.m

Authorities say 48-year-old Joseph Dewayne Lowery of Sumrall died at the scene. A second person was flown to a hospital for treatment.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
