A man was arrested after a moped crash that left one dead and one with life-threatening injuries on US 29 South in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — Police say they have found the man responsible One person was killed in an accident and another person was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuriessaid a news release from the Greensboro Police Department.

On Monday, police arrested Donald Lee Morgan, 60, of Greensboro, on two felony charges: hit-and-run, vehicular manslaughter, driving with a suspended license and failure to reduce speed. He was given a $25,000 bond.


On April 30, at approximately 10:09 p.m., officers responded to US 29 South near Florida Street when they were advised a vehicle collided with the rear of a moped.

Arriving officers found two victims who had been thrown from the moped.

Adrian Gail Ranson, 41, of Greensboro, was pronounced dead. A male patient who was riding the moped was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.
