Police are investigating the deaths of two men in South Hero, VT

Vermont State Police are releasing new details about the deaths of two men found outside a home in South Hero on Thursday. Police said they received a 911 call about 11:30 a.m. about the discovery of the bodies on Kibbe Farm Road. Officers from multiple agencies, including the Grand Isle County Sheriff’s Department and members of South Hero Rescue and the South Hero Volunteer Fire Department, responded to the scene and found Andrew “Drew” Lalumiere, 35, and John Lalumiere, 68, dead, police confirmed that the two men were related. John was Andrew’s uncle. According to police, both lived in separate homes on the property where the shooting occurred. Police say John shot his nephew Andrew before turning the gun on himself. Andrew died from gunshot wounds to the head and torso. John died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Investigators are investigating what led to Thursday’s fatal shooting. Once Vermont State Police complete their investigation, they will turn it over to the Grand Isle State Attorney for review.
