Washington felon arrested in Redding | News

REDDING, Calif. – Redding police officers arrested a Washington felon on Monday.

The Kent Police Department in King County, Washington, called to inform Redding police officers that a felon was traveling on a bus that was scheduled to stop in Redding, police said.

The suspect was identified as 23-year-old Alex Tredway of Kent, Washington, police said. Tredway has a warrant out of King County for multiple crimes and faces charges of assault on a peace officer and resisting arrest, police said.

The bus, which was en route to Sacramento, stopped in Redding and officers responded to the scene to arrest Tredway, police said.

Tredway saw police and got off the bus to flee the scene, police said. Tredway made off on foot but was eventually taken into custody.

Tredway was booked into the Shasta County Jail on his warrant and an additional charge of resisting, obstructing or delaying a peace officer.

He will be returned to King County on his arrest warrant, police said.
