Springfield police are asking for help finding a 14-year-old runaway who has been missing for 11 days

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The Springfield Police Youth Aide Bureau is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing runaway.

According to Springfield police, 14-year-old Esmeralda Perez ran away from home on Monday, April 29th. She was reported missing three days later, on Thursday, May 2nd.


Esmeralda is about 1.75 meters tall and weighs 50 kilograms. According to police, she often dyes her hair and most recently had black and blue hair.

Her mother once found her on Oswego Street but couldn’t get her to come home. It may also be in the Union Street area.
