Millbrook Police Department receives nearly $165,000 in grants

The Village of Millbrook Police Department has received nearly $165,000 in grants to improve its operations and technology, the department said in a statement.

The largest amount, totaling $130,000, came from the New York State Law Enforcement Technology Grant. The funds will be used to modernize the department’s technology, equipment and operations to more effectively solve and prevent crimes.

The department also received $10,000 from the Police Protective Equipment Program for ballistic armor and $25,000 from the Division of Criminal Justice Services Public Safety Grant for live scans.
