Apparently drunk man killed in hit-and-run in Fresno | YourCentralValley.com

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Fresno police say a man has died after being struck by a fleeing vehicle in Fresno overnight.

Police said they were called to First Street south of Gettysburg Avenue for a report of a person being struck by a car.


When officers arrived, they reported a man lying in the road with serious injuries. He was taken to a local hospital where he later died. The vehicle that struck the man fled the scene.

Witnesses told investigators the man was on the road when he was hit and they believed he was drunk at the time.

Detectives are actively working to identify the suspect(s) involved.
