Cyclist killed in accident in Virginia Beach

VIRGINIA BEACH, Virginia (WAVY) – A cyclist has died after an overnight accident in Virginia Beach.

Shortly after 11 p.m. on Saturday, officers were called to the 900 block of General Booth Boulevard for a report of an accident.

Police said the cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The driver of the vehicle remained on site and cooperated with investigators.

The investigation is still ongoing and no charges have been filed yet.
