State police said the pickup was traveling southbound when it crossed a concrete divider and struck the concrete perimeter of a toll booth. Powell was able to get out of the pickup and was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, state police said.

According to authorities, none of the toll booth employees were injured.

Anyone who witnessed the accident or has information that may assist in the investigation is asked to contact Trooper Matthew Howe at [email protected].

This is the third accident at the Bedford toll plaza since June. Several injuries were reported in a June accident and a man died when a car crashed into a concrete barrier and caught fire, also in June, police said.
