Outside the Buffalo Township Volunteer Fire Company where Corey Comperatore served, people lay flowers and other items near a statue of the late firefighter, who was shot and killed at the Trump rally. A few miles away, a banner hangs outside the home of a man who never met him. Strangers stopped and signed their names to leave messages for Comperatore’s family. Friday night, Lernerville Speedway will honor Comperatore with a video and a moment of silence at 7:30 p.m.

Outside the Buffalo Township Volunteer Fire Company where Corey Comperatore served, people leave flowers and other items near a statue of the deceased firefighter who was shot and killed at the Donald Trump rally.

A few miles away, a banner hangs outside the house of a man who has never met him.

Strangers stopped and signed their names to leave a message for Comperatore’s family.

Friday night, Lernerville Speedway will honor Comperatore with a video and a moment of silence at 7:30 p.m.
