Two teenagers arrested for breaking into gun shop in Liberty

LIBERTY, Mo. — Two teenagers were arrested in connection with a Break-in at a gun shop in Liberty earlier this month.

On July 16 at approximately 4 a.m., Liberty Police responded to a burglary at Securing Liberty, LLC, DBA Adventure Outdoors, 117 B North Main Street.


Officers discovered that a stolen vehicle had been used to break into the front of the store and that numerous firearms had been stolen.

The suspects then left the country in another stolen vehicle.

Following a joint investigation by Liberty Police and the ATF, two male juveniles were arrested for burglary. Several of the firearms stolen that night were recovered.

Liberty Police and the ATF are still actively searching for the remaining stolen weapons. The case will be forwarded to the Clay County Juvenile Justice Department for charges.
