Coroner identifies pedestrian killed in collision on Rivers Avenue

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCBD) — The Charleston County Coroner has determined the identity of the 63-year-old man who died in a one-vehicle collision on Rivers Avenue on Saturday.

Coroner Bobbi Jo O’Neal said Russell Johnson of North Charleston died at the scene of the crash at 10:05 p.m.

According to North Charleston police, no charges have been filed in connection with the collision. Police have not released any further details about the cause of the accident.

The North Charleston Police Department Traffic Unit is investigating this incident.
