Car crash blocks traffic in downtown Vernon

An incident involving a vehicle on a crosswalk in downtown Vernon has resulted in the closure of several lanes.

Emergency crews have partially closed the intersection of 30th Avenue and Highway 97 in downtown Vernon to traffic while investigations and cleanup operations are completed. Traffic delays are expected.

The incident occurred around 1:30 p.m.
