Serial rapist arrested in DeKalb County, police say

ATLANTA, Georgia (Atlanta News First) – DeKalb County police say they have arrested a serial rapist who targeted his victims through personal ads.

DeKalb County police said their special victims unit identified and arrested the suspect on Wednesday.

According to police, the suspect allegedly lured his victims to a location in the area of Dogwood Pass and Turner Hill Road in Stonecrest, where he pulled out a firearm and sexually assaulted them.

“While these cases remain under investigation, it is believed there may be additional victims/crimes that have gone unreported,” the department said in a statement Thursday.

Police urge anyone with information regarding sexual assaults in the Dogwood Pass and Turner Hill Road area and surrounding areas to contact the Special Victims Unit at (770) 724-7710.

They also urge citizens to be cautious when responding to personal ads.

DeKalb County police spokesman Lt. Shane Smith said the department could not yet release the suspect’s name because additional victims would need to be lineuped for identification.
