Police investigation underway after fatal accident in Miami Gardens – WSVN 7News | Miami News, Weather, Sports

MIAMI GARDENS, FLA. (WSVN) – Police officers gathered on a Miami Gardens street Thursday morning after a bicyclist was killed in a collision.

Miami Gardens Police arrived on the scene near Miami Gardens Drive and US-441, where a car had left the road and struck a bicyclist.

Aerial footage from 7Skyforce showed tire tracks on the grass leading to the walkway where a tarp covered the body. A damaged bicycle and backpack were visible nearby.

A video shows the car involved in the accident stopped on the center line of US-441 with severe damage to the front.

Details are still limited as police continue their investigation.
