A Smithland man was treated after a traffic accident Thursday.

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office said they were called to a single-vehicle rollover accident in the 6700 block of Lovelaceville Rod around 12:20 p.m.

According to investigators, 19-year-old Shane Freiberg was attempting to pass a vehicle when he veered off the road and overcorrected, causing his vehicle to overturn.

Freiberg was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
