1 dead, car completely destroyed after accident in northwest Miami-Dade – NBC 6 South Florida

Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred early Monday morning in northwest Miami-Dade.

The accident occurred in the 7200 block of Northwest 27th Avenue, near State Road 9 in Gladeview.

According to Miami-Dade police, the accident involved only one car; the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Helicopter 6 flew over the accident site and saw a completely destroyed car that had apparently crashed into a concrete pillar. The car was demolished and had significant damage to the front and rear.

First responders were seen carrying the body away on a stretcher, which they covered with a tarpaulin.

Authorities have not yet released details about the victim’s identity or the cause of the crash.
