Several real estate agents have been fined and had their brokerage licenses revoked due to non-compliance with Abu Dhabi real estate laws and regulations.

According to authorities, 50 fines were imposed on brokers for violating real estate laws and regulations in the first quarter of this year.

These brokers were also penalized for unregistered marketing of projects and non-compliance with professional codes of conduct.

In addition, the Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre (ADREC) reported that seven real estate agents were suspended from practicing their profession and their brokerage office was fined AED 30,000 for violating professional rules.

ADREC ensured that the Authority prioritizes lawful practices in line with its efforts to maintain the highest standards in Abu Dhabi’s real estate sector.

In February, the Real Estate Regulatory Agency (RERA), the regulator of the Dubai Land Department (DLD), set conditions to regulate advertisements and curb negative practices within the industry.
