Provo man killed in semi-truck accident

PROVO – A Provo man died after being struck by a tractor-trailer in Cedar Fort on Thursday.

According to a post on

SSPD was initially unable to locate the car, but later responded to an accident on State Route 73 in which the car skidded across the center line.

The male driver, 62-year-old Daniel Curtis Brock, was struck by an eastbound tractor-trailer, according to police. According to the UCSO post, Brock was trapped for 50 minutes while Unified Fire officers freed him.

The post said a medical helicopter flew him to the hospital, where he later died. The tractor-trailer driver was reportedly uninjured and a third car suffered minor damage from debris.
