WINONA, Minn. — Authorities lifted the stay-at-home warning issued for Winona’s west side late Monday night.

The Winona County Emergency Management Agency urged residents between Vila and Pelzer streets to seek shelter in a basement or indoor area. The warning was issued around 6:30 p.m. and lifted around 8 p.m.

Winona police are looking for a 25-year-old man in connection with a robbery in the area of ​​Fifth and Junction streets. He was last seen fleeing the area south on foot around 5:20 p.m.

Police describe the man as 6’2″ tall and weighing 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing ripped black jeans and a colorful shirt. He also has a facial piercing, police said.

Anyone who sees the suspect is instructed not to approach him and to call 911 immediately.
