Dustin Ehlinger arrested for domestic violence

Sunday morning, July 7th At around 1 a.m., Plymouth police responded to the 2000 block of Westgate Avenue for a domestic dispute.

The suspect was Dustin Ehlinger, 32, of Plymouth. Ehlinger allegedly spit on the victim while screaming and yelling in the presence of a small child.

Dustin Ehlinger was taken to Plymouth Hospital for release from jail due to his intoxication before being transported to the Marshall County Jail. Ehlinger was charged with domestic violence.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only a reasonable suspicion to believe that a crime has been committed. Defendants are presumed innocent throughout the trial and are entitled to legal representation and a jury trial, where the State is required to present evidence beyond a reasonable doubt before a verdict of guilt can be entered.
