Arrests made in Centre Parkway death investigation

Two people have been arrested in connection with the death of a toddler that occurred yesterday on Centre Parkway.

On July 6, 2024, at approximately 9:23 a.m., officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1200 block of Center Parkway for a report of an unresponsive toddler. Officers located a 20-month-old toddler. The toddler was pronounced dead at the scene. Brianna Johnson, 27, and Kyle Guindon, 22, were arrested during the investigation. Johnson was charged with first-degree criminal mistreatment. Guidon was charged with first-degree assault (domestic violence) and first-degree criminal mistreatment. Both are being held at the Fayette County Detention Center.

The Fayette County Coroner’s Office will release the name of the deceased.
