1 dead after shooting in south Goodyear; another person arrested

GOODYEAR, AZ (AZFamily) — One person is dead after being shot in South Goodyear Saturday afternoon.

Around 5 p.m., officers were called to a shooting at a home near South Estrella Parkway and Tanglewood Drive, south of Willis Road.

When officers arrived, they found a person dead inside the home. Police say one person has been arrested in connection with the shooting. The victim has not been identified.

Goodyear police said this was an isolated incident and there was no threat to the surrounding community.

Detectives are on site investigating what led to the shooting.
