Morning bike ride honors those who served

The cyclists made four stops at the park to honor those who served. Organizers said the route also helps build a sense of community among local veterans.

“We’re really trying to help people get off the couch, get back on the bike and be part of this journey,” said Sam Marrazzo, founder of WNY Cyclists for Veterans. “It’s an incredible ride, it doesn’t happen overnight. We have tremendous support. The most important thing is we want to see more veterans be part of a great cycling community in Buffalo.”

The group also organizes a ride every Veterans Day.
