Atlanta Braves News: Orlando Arcia, Atlanta Squander Early Lead, More

The Atlanta Braves continue to struggle on the injury front, with Orlando Arcia being ruled out of the starting lineup with a tooth abscess. His fate is listed as day to day. Zack Short took over at shortstop Tuesday night.

As for Ramon Laureano, an oblique injury is probable and a move to the injured list is not ruled out. He had initially been reported for back pain.

Finally, Brian Snitker talked about Michael Harris II, who has been out since June 15 with a torn hamstring. There is no projected return date, but he could start running again soon.

The Arizona Diamondbacks have placed left-hander Jordan Montgomery on the 15-day disabled list with knee inflammation, retroactive to June 29.

Washington Nationals pitcher Josiah Gray is experiencing elbow discomfort and will need to undergo further testing.

The Toronto Blue Jays placed infielder Isiah Kiner-Falefa on the 10-day disabled list with a knee sprain. In related news, the club recalled Leo Jimenez from Triple-A Buffalo.

The Miami Marlins have designated shortstop Tim Anderson for assignment. To take his roster spot, the Fish recalled Xavier Edwards.
