Miami man allegedly raped woman and robbed her boyfriend in abandoned house

MIAMI – A Miami man was arrested Monday on charges of raping a woman and robbing her boyfriend of cash and drugs in an abandoned house.

The crimes were reported shortly after 11 a.m. Monday in the 1400 block of Northwest 67th Street.

According to the suspect’s police report, the female victim and her boyfriend had been staying in the abandoned house for the past few months.

The woman told police they were in the building late Sunday night when the suspect, later identified as Tarrel Stillman, entered the home, pointed a gun at the couple and robbed the woman’s boyfriend of money and drugs.

According to police, 37-year-old Stillman, who is also homeless, then asked the man to go to another room.

The man complied, and Stillman then forced the female victim to perform oral sex on him before raping her at gunpoint, authorities said.

The victim told police that Stillman told her, “If you obey, nothing will happen to you.”

He then fled the scene, police said.

According to the police report, the female victim’s boyfriend confirmed her story to police. He said Stillman robbed him of $100 in cash and crack cocaine and that he heard Stillman tell his girlfriend to take off her clothes and perform oral sex on him.

Police said the male victim noticed Stillman walking by while speaking to officers and pointed at him.

According to the report, Stillman denied robbing the man and raping the woman, claiming he was supervising the abandoned house and went there to tell residents to leave the property.

Stillman was arrested for sexual assault with a weapon, false imprisonment with a deadly weapon, and armed robbery/burglary.

As of Tuesday afternoon, Stillman has been held without bail at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
