SAPD: Man killed while running on highway access road

The driver stayed and told officers they had not seen the man.

SAN ANTONIO – A man is dead after he was struck by a car while walking on an access road to a freeway, police said.

San Antonio Police responded to Highway 151 and Escala Parkway at around 9:09 p.m. Saturday for a report of a fatal accident.

According to police, the unidentified victim was walking in the street when he was struck. The driver stopped and told officers they did not see the man.

The emergency services attempted to take life-saving measures, but the victim later died at the scene of the accident.
