Teenager arrested for drunk driving after accident on TPE

SINGAPORE – A 19-year-old man was arrested for drink-driving in the early hours of June 30 following an accident involving a car and a van on TPE.

When contacted, the police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force said they were informed of the accident at 5.10am, which occurred before the Elias Road exit.

A 25-year-old van driver, his 54-year-old male passenger and the 19-year-old car driver were taken to Changi General Hospital in a conscious condition.

In a video uploaded to the Singapore Roads Accident.com Facebook page, a white car traveling at high speed and a van are seen colliding. The white car flips over while the van spins out and hits a guardrail.

The police investigation is ongoing.
