Several people shot in Vicksburg: Investigations ongoing

According to Vicksburg Police Investigator Jerrold Hayes, several people were shot in an incident at the City Pavilion.

In a text message, Investigator Hayes said, “The Vicksburg Police Department is currently investigating a shooting that occurred sometime after 9:00 p.m. following an event at the City Pavilion, 100 Army Navy Drive. Reports indicate multiple individuals sustained gunshot wounds as a result of the shooting. Additionally, multiple vehicles were shot at and multiple shell casings were found at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing and in its early stages. More information will become available as the investigation progresses.
