Woman killed in two-vehicle crash in Benton County

GRAVETTE, Arkansas – A Clarksville woman died after a traffic crash in Gravette on June 26, according to an accident report from the Arkansas Department of Public Safety.

According to the report, 28-year-old Chelsea Travis was traveling north on Highway 59 around 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. At the same time, a Nissan was traveling south.

According to the report, Travis swerved near Bright Valley Road as the two vehicles approached a curve and “crossed the center line into the southbound lane and struck (the Nissan).”

Those involved in the accident were taken to nearby hospitals. The three occupants of the Nissan were reportedly injured, while Travis later succumbed to her injuries.
