Las Vegas Police Respond to Jewelry Theft at Fashion Show Mall

LAS VEGAS, Nevada (FOX5) — Multiple units of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to the Fashion Show Mall on the Las Vegas Strip Monday evening.

Further details are scarce, but a LVMPD watch commander told FOX5 that police are not responding to an active shooter situation.

A social media post from Metro said police were investigating a theft. The post also called reports of a shooting “unfounded.”

In an update shortly after 7:30 p.m., police said that “several individuals wearing dark clothing” stole several items from a jewelry store in the mall.

LVMPD Commercial Robbery detectives are on scene as the investigation continues.
