Walnut Creek man arrested for sexually assaulting a child under 10 years old

(KRON) – A Walnut Creek man has been arrested and charged with felony child abuse, the Walnut Creek Police Department announced Wednesday. Police believe there may be additional victims and are encouraging any victims to come forward.

Kevin Osborne, 67, was arrested April 30. He was charged with two counts of sexual assault on a child under 10 and 13 counts of lewd acts on a child.

WCPD says the case was reported to them several weeks ago and they have completed a “thorough investigation.” The alleged crimes occurred 15 to 20 years ago.

Osborne is being held in the Contra Costa County Jail on $3.3 million bail.

“Given the nature of the allegations and the nature of the case, there may be other individuals that the same suspect sexually abused,” WCPD said.
