State Police Calls: Ohio woman charged with threatening man in Forest County

FOREST/JEFFERSON CO., Pennsylvania (EYT) — State Police in Marienville responded to the following incidents:

Woman charged with threatening a man

PSP Marienville responded to a harassment incident on June 15 at approximately 3:00 p.m. in the 8400 block of Starling Lane in Green Township, Forest County.

According to police 60-year-old Debra Jean Burkeyof Youngstown, Ohio, told a known victim that she was going to “kick him in the (expletive).”

When questioned about the incident, Burkey admitted to threatening the victim, police said.

According to court documents, Burkey was charged with the following non-traffic-related offense:

Court officials are currently awaiting a plea from Burkey.

Investigations into the corruption of minors

Police were assigned to investigate a case of bribery of minors that occurred sometime between November 1 and December 22 on Fleming Hill Road in Harmony Township in Forest County.

According to the police, the investigation revealed that no criminal act had taken place.

The victim was reportedly a 15-year-old girl from Hickory Township.

PFA violation

PSP Marienville was contacted to investigate a PFA violation on June 1 at approximately 3:00 p.m. on State Route 36 in Eldred Township, Jefferson County.

Police said investigations had revealed a violation.

A 34-year-old woman from Sigel is listed as one of those arrested.

The victim is a 54-year-old woman, also from Sigel.
