Strong police presence in east New Orleans

The New Orleans Police Department is responding to an incident in New Orleans East Wednesday morning. A large police presence was reported near Bullard Avenue and Hayne Boulevard. Police have established a perimeter that includes portions of Wales Street, Arcadia Lane and Dorsett Drive between Hayne Boulevard and Curran Boulevard. The NOPD has not released any information about the incident. WDSU has reached out to the NOPD and NOLA Troop for more information. No response was received at the time of this posting.
