One person hit and killed by a train in NOTO

TOPEKA (KSNT) – Topeka Police are assisting Union Pacific in a train accident that left one person dead.

Officers with the Topeka Police Department (TPD) responded to a 911 call near North Kansas Avenue and Northeast Norris Street at 5:07 p.m. on Tuesday, June 18. A Union Pacific spokeswoman told 27 News that a Union Pacific train struck and killed one person. No Union Pacific personnel were injured in this incident.


A TPD spokeswoman said officers are on scene assisting Union Pacific, which is leading the investigation.
