One dead in shooting in St. Petersburg

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WWSB) – St. Petersburg Police responded to a 911 call reporting a person had been shot at the Reserve at Lake Point Apartments just before 6 a.m. on Tuesday, June 18.

Yvonne Abernathy, 25, was shot on the sidewalk in front of the apartment she shared with a family member.

Abernathy was found dead upon arrival.

The shooter is not in custody.
