Findlay man arrested after accident

FINDLAY – A Findlay man was arrested and a pregnant woman was taken to the hospital following a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of West Trenton Avenue and Morey Avenue in Findlay on Monday.

According to a Findlay police news release, Marcus Spikes, 29, of Findlay, was traveling north on Morey Avenue and Devyn Dotson, 19, of Waynesfield, was traveling east on West Trenton Avenue. Spikes ran a red light at the intersection and was struck by Dotson, causing severe damage to both vehicles.

Spikes was arrested on a warrant and issued citations for failure to comply with a traffic control system and driving while license suspended. Dotson’s passenger, Jasper Cornett, was taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay by Hanco EMS as a precautionary measure because she is seven months pregnant.
