Three people died in a traffic accident in Athens County

ATHENS COUNTY, Ohio (WTAP) – Three people were killed in a traffic accident in Athens County on Thursday.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred at 1:28 p.m.

Kody Zimmerman was driving a Chevrolet Malibu on Route 50.

He turned left and was struck on the passenger side by Jeremy Trisch, who was driving a semi-trailer truck.

Zimmerman and his two passengers, Jacob Hammond and Mallory Fussner, died at the scene of the accident.

All three were under 32 years old.
