Investigation into outdoor deaths near Sloans Lake now becomes homicide investigation

DENVER – An investigation into an outdoor death near Sloans Lake has turned into a homicide investigation, Denver police said Friday.

In a Post created on X At around 1:03 a.m. Thursday, Denver police said they were investigating a death in the area of ​​West Byron Place and Yates Street.

In an update Friday, the department said the incident is now being investigated as a homicide.

No further details were released. Denver police identified the victim only as an adult male. The Denver Office of the Medical Examiner will release his identity and cause of death at a later date.
