Alliance man arrested for first-degree sexual assault of a child

An Alliance man accused of sexually assaulting a six-year-old girl has been set bail at $500,000.

Terry Grant, 49, was arrested last month after police were dispatched to Meadows Trailer Court to investigate the case. According to court documents, surveillance video captured Grant sexually abusing the minor and he admitted to the crime during questioning at the police station.

He is accused of first-degree sexual abuse of a child (Class 1B), among other things. He will appear in court again on Friday for his preliminary hearing. If convicted, Grant faces a minimum sentence of 20 years.
