During her time on the sidelines, Charlette threw herself into the family business.

The Renegade Twins (Charlette Renegade and Robyn Renegade) have been tagging for four years and their travels have taken them to NWA, ROH and All Elite Wrestling, among others.

Since the end of 2023, Robyn has been competing as a singles talent because Charlette has to take a break. Charlette told Women’s Wrestling Talk that a “minor incident” was the reason for her absence. Although she was unable to compete, she threw herself into the family business.

The Renegade Twins’ grandfather has owned a hair salon in Georgia for 50 years. He taught her mother how to cut hair, and Charlette learned during that time off.

I had a little incident earlier this year that put me out of action for six months. We’re fast approaching that six months but what I’ve done in those six months is I’ve learned to cut hair, I’ve become a hairdresser, sort of as a side job while I’m out of action. I’m here supporting Robyn (Renegade) and trying to help her as much as I can behind the scenes, trying to be there for her as much as I can but we’re fast approaching the end of our six months so hopefully you’ll see (me) out there with her more soon.

My grandfather has owned a barbershop in Tucker, Georgia for 52 years. He taught my mom how to cut hair 20 years ago and they’ve been working there forever. My mom took a short break. She started her own business and recently went back to being a barber. When I got sidelined because of this break that I have to take, I started going to the barbershop every day and helping out a little bit by sweeping, mopping and folding towels. I just did what I could to make a little extra money. One day I looked at my grandfather and he said, “Why don’t you just get your license? You’re here every day. It shouldn’t take that long.” And since I’m apprenticed with my grandfather and my mother, they let me take time off for wrestling when I have to take time off when I get back and still allow me to get my license. But the whole point was to run the barbershop for three generations so we still have my grandfather, my mother and me.

In May, Robyn made two televised appearances for AEW. She fought Thunder Rosa at Collision and then had a match against Deonna Purrazzo at Rampage.
