Russia has attacked three Ukrainian thermal power plants, causing serious damage to equipment

Russian forces shelled three Ukrainian thermal power plants, causing significant damage to equipment.

This was reported by DTEK.

“The equipment was badly damaged. Energy workers are currently working to clean up the consequences of the attack,” the statement said.

According to DTEK, this is the fifth mass attack on the company’s energy facilities in the last month and a half. The Russians attacked DTEK’s thermal power plants with massive shelling on March 22 and 29 and April 11 and 27.

In total, DTEK’s thermal power plants have been shelled about 180 times since the full-scale invasion began. The attacks injured 51 employees and killed three energy workers.

Tonight the Russians launched a new massive attack on Ukraine. It is known that the occupiers fired missiles from strategic bombers. There were also launches of Shahed drones.

The energy sector was targeted by the enemy. The Energy Ministry reported that power generation and transmission facilities were attacked in six regions: Poltava, Kirovohrad, Zaporizhia, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk and Vinnytsia. Russia also aimed missiles at Kyiv.
