Russia fired rockets at the Ukrainian city of Dnipro overnight on June 4, causing a fire, said Governor Serhii Lysak. At least six civilians, including a one-month-old baby and a 17-year-old boy, were injured in the attack.

According to the governor, air defense systems managed to intercept and shoot down two missiles over the city.

However, the debris from the rockets caused damage to civilian infrastructure. Over a dozen vehicles were damaged and the impact shattered windows in several houses. Rescue teams were dispatched to the scene of the accident.

Russian forces also attacked the city of Nikopol with kamikaze drones, Lysak said. No casualties were reported there.

In a number of regions, including the Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, Zaporizhia, Donetsk and Luhansk regions, air raid alerts were sounded on the night of June 4. The Ukrainian Air Force warned of the danger of a missile attack.

In recent months, Russia has intensified its attacks against Ukraine critical infrastructure in a renewed attack on civilian facilities and the country’s energy grid.

Russia’s massive air strike follows the deadly bomb attack of the busy Kharkiv hypermarket in the middle of the day on May 25. At least 19 people were killed and 44 injured in the attack. Hours later second Russian attack 25 people were injured.
