First weather warning day: Strong risk of storms on Saturday

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A First weather warning day remains in effect for Saturday afternoon and evening as some strong storms threaten parts of the Middle State

We can enjoy another beautiful day today, with temperatures between 27 and 30 degrees in the afternoon and a mix of clouds and sunshine. It might be a little wetter than the last few days, but that shouldn’t be too noticeable.

More clouds will move in tonight and we’ll even see a few showers, mostly west of I-65. Lows tonight will drop to 15 to 20 degrees.

THIS WEEKEND

More showers and thunderstorms are expected throughout the day tomorrow, but the majority of the rain will fall west of I-65. That’s not to say the rest of the area won’t see showers, but the farther east we get, the more scattered they will be.

A FIRST WEATHER WARNING DAY is still in effect for tomorrow, as a storm or two west of I-65 could bring gusty winds and heavy rain. Fortunately, the tornado and hail threat for tomorrow is very low, if not zero.

A few showers and rumbles of thunder will linger through Sunday, but it won’t rain all day. Highs this weekend will climb back up to 27 to 30 degrees, with higher humidity.

NEXT WEEK

Expect more unsettled weather on Monday, but showers are expected to be mostly isolated in the afternoon. Highs on Monday will remain around 30 degrees.

Some more showers and even thunder are expected on Tuesday and Wednesday, with maximum temperatures between 30 and 35 degrees.

On Thursday there will be more isolated showers and temperatures will remain between 30 and 35 degrees Celsius.
