Pleasanton woman arrested for stabbing her husband during a domestic dispute

(KRON) – A woman suspected of stabbing her husband during a domestic dispute has been arrested, Pleasanton police said. Pleasanton police received a call around 12:30 a.m. Monday from a woman who reported she had stabbed her husband during an argument.

Officers responded to the scene at an apartment complex in the 4900 block of Owens Drive. They discovered the husband was suffering from an apparent stab wound and rendered aid.

He was taken to a trauma center and remains in critical condition, police said. The woman was arrested and taken to Santa Rita Jail on charges of attempted homicide, assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated domestic violence.

Pleasant PD declines to release the names of the husband and wife due to the ongoing investigation and confidentiality laws surrounding domestic violence cases.

“This isolated incident of domestic violence is currently under active investigation and police are supporting the affected family during this difficult time,” Pleasanton police said.
