Suspected kidnapper and rapist claims he was treated “like a paedophile sex offender”

A man who allegedly kidnapped and raped a 13-year-old girl in western Sydney claims he is being treated “like a paedophile sex offender” and can prove he was lied to about her age.

Mustafa Kayirici, 26, was arrested on Saturday after his car drove into a bus stop in Bondi following a police chase.

Detectives have reportedly been searching for Kayirici since June 19 after a 22-year-old woman was allegedly attacked and robbed in Sydney’s central business district.

On Friday he is said to have kidnapped a 13-year-old in Parramatta.

It is alleged that the accused did not know the young woman but managed to lure her to him.

Kayirici is alleged to have sexually abused the 13-year-old girl on Friday at various locations in Sydney, from Parramatta to Merrylands, Telopea, Ermington and Homebush.

In court on Sunday, Kayirici decided to represent himself and appeared via video link.

The Daily Telegraph The defendant claimed that he had “dirty videos” of the teenager, which he said proved that she had consented to have sex with him.

Police prosecutor Sergeant Ben Bragger said bail was “unthinkable”.

Kayirici appeared with severe bruises on his face and swollen eyes.

“They portray me as an evil person, as if I were a pedophile, rapist and sex offender,” he said.

“I’m all over the news and it’s wrong… That’s a complete lie,”

Kayirici claimed that his alleged victim lied about her age and agreed to have sex with him.

He told the court that he filmed the women he had sex with to prove their consent.

“The point is, I have everything on footage. I know I’m innocent. I didn’t know this person was 13,” he said.

Police claimed they found “significant evidence,” including video footage showing the two together.

Police claimed they had strong evidence against Kayirici.

Sergeant Bragger reportedly told the court that the alleged assaults were similar enough to raise concerns that “female members of the community” would be at risk if the defendants were released on bail.

The judge refused bail because he considered that Kayirici posed a “grave threat” to community safety.

Kayirici is accused of, among other things, serious sexual assault, deprivation of liberty for the purpose of obtaining an advantage and kidnapping.

The case will be heard again in court on June 30.
