NEW YORK, NY / ACCESSWIRE / May 27, 2024 / Bronstein, Gewirtz & Grossman, LLC, a nationally recognized law firm, notifies investors that a class action lawsuit has been filed against Compass Minerals International, Inc. (“Compass Minerals” or “the Company”) (NYSE: CMP) and certain of its officers.

Class definition:

This action seeks to recover damages from Defendants for alleged violations of the federal securities laws on behalf of all persons and entities who purchased or otherwise acquired Compass Minerals securities between November 29, 2023 and March 22, 2024, inclusive (the “Class Period”). Such investors are encouraged to join this case by visiting the Company’s website: bgandg.com/CMP.

Case details:

The lawsuit alleges that throughout the Class Period, defendants made materially false and/or misleading statements and/or failed to disclose that: (1) Compass Minerals overstated the likelihood that the company would receive a new contract with the U.S. Forest Service for use of its proprietary magnesium chloride-based flame retardants for the 2024 wildfire season due to safety issues with its flame retardant; (2) Compass Minerals overstated the extent to which testing had confirmed the safety of its flame retardants; and (3) as a result, defendants’ statements about its business, operations, and prospects were materially false and misleading and/or lacked a reasonable basis at all times. When the true details became available to the market, investors suffered harm, according to the lawsuit.
