1 dead and 3 injured in Ukrainian drone attack on Russian gas station

One person was killed and three others injured in a Ukrainian drone attack on a gas station in Russia’s Oryol region on Monday, local authorities said on Monday.

“This morning a drone fell on the territory of a gas station in the city of Livny,” said Oryol Region Governor Andrei Klitschkov, adding that the facade of a government building had been damaged.

Another drone attacked the area after emergency services arrived on the scene, Klychkov said.

“According to initial information, the driver of a fire engine unfortunately died,” he said. Three other firefighters were injured.

The Russian Defense Ministry said on Monday that it had shot down a dozen Ukrainian drones overnight, including six over the Oryol region, whose capital is about 170 kilometers from the border with Ukraine.
